Hello again, I'm just dropping in to let you guys know that I'm still alive and well. I've been working hard and sewing a lot so hopefully I'll be back soon with more finished objects. In the meantime, here's a shirt that I've made. It's gone through many a redraft, so the draft I ended up on doesn't look too much like this one now.
I kept the dropped arm holes, but they aren't quite as low on the finished pattern, I've also raised the front since this is somewhere between dress and long shirt length and I'm not a huge fan of that. The fabric is a black modal rayon jersey from Dharma Trading, I use it for everything and I love it. Also featured in this post is a Watson bra; I'm still working on getting that to fit me well, but maybe one day I'll achieve something I feel comfortable in and I'll blog about it.
There doesn't feel like much else to say here, I can't wait to share some of the other things I've been working on with you guys. Life is really hectic though and it can be hard to find time to photograph and blog when there are so many other things that need doing. I can't imagine things will slow down any time soon though.
I hope you guys are all having a fantastic week, month, year. The time has absolutely flown by since I moved last fall and I can't believe it's almost a year already.
Need a new business name? You're golden.
I really enjoyed this Nylon piece on what it was really like to work at AA under Dov Charney.
I'm really interested in personality types. I thought I was an INTJ, but now I'm tempted to say I'm an SNTJ. Take this really fast quiz (if you feel like it), I'm really interested to know what your results are.
