Hey guyzzz! I wanted to blog earlier, but I've spent almost this whole week in Texas and it's been nuts. One of my good friends got married yesterday and I got to spend the past couple of days preparing for a wedding in the (absolutely insane) Texas wind and in general living the ranch life. I love it here. If you follow me on instalame (I mean...instagram. Whatevs.) then you'll have already seen a couple of photos of the beautiful landscape and one photo of America's best coffeehouse. That's all I need, really: beautiful scenery and good coffee. And maybe friends. I haven't decided yet.
< There's a photo of my with the bride and groom (OBVIOUSLY) and my first ever completely homemade outfit. SOOO proud. Of them...I mean...not my outfit.
BUT ANYWAY, on to the dress, I guess. It's Penelope by Republique du Chiffon. It should've been an easy make since it's such a simple dress, but those triangles in the front almost killed me since I can't read French and there were hardly any diagrams. It did get made though, in some poly-velvet that was supposed to be leggings. I was feeling VERY in tune with the 90s when I started this dress. I'll probably make it again in silk or something that I feel like I can actually wear in the summer.
As always, everyone, I can't look at the camera.
