Hello hello everybody! It may be a bit late in the year to show such a summery dress, but here it is. This is the Sigma dress by Papercut Patterns. To the bottom right you can see it in a cotton velveteen from Mood, and the other pictures are of silk noil that I dyed a while back. The velveteen one has some pretty gnarly construction, but I still like it. Not really sure how I feel about the dyed one, but I think I may like it. I think that I'm just not that comfortable in bright colours. Since this is such a simple make, I don't really know what else to say about it. I like the pattern well enough, but I think I may just prefer princess seams to darts.
I'll move on to other things now:
I've redone the patterns section, so now all of my knitting patterns are PDFs (way easier to save and print).
I'm working on a new pattern for a hat, and I have another hat ready to be put in my shop as soon as I get the photos of it from my friend.
My Named Jamie jeans don't (and probably never will) work for me, so I just decided to draft from scratch. My first muslin was pretttttttty embarrassing, but I've been taking a lot more time with the second draft and I feel like it's promising. That being said, if you have any tips for drafting and sewing jeans, please do share. I would invest in Heather's new pattern (it looks amazing) but I don't want to end up in the same situation I had with the Jamie jeans.
I hope you guys are all having an awesome week, and I'll leave you with that silly picture of me.
